This was an ESL English worksheet I made for students to review lessons about months of the year and school activities from their textbook, so the word list is quite specific, but hopefully it can be of use to someone!
In this worksheet, you must find the words just as in a regular word search, but there is an additional step of finding a hidden message using the remaining unused letters!
This is designed on A4 paper as a half sheet to save paper, so you’ll have to cut the pages in half. Student version and answer key included below.

Teacher Notes
- Words can go left to right OR right to left, which makes it a bit harder for some students
- The unused remaining letters are in order from left to right, top to bottom, so students can easily find the hidden word if they circle the letters clearly.
