This worksheet reviews vocabulary related to health and sickness. I made it for a lesson called “What’s Wrong?” in the YBM textbook series. My EFL 5th grade students spent about 15 minutes on this.
To complete the worksheet, fill in the blanks with the vocabulary word represented in the picture of the corresponding number. Find the hidden message using the letters in the bold outlined box in each word. Student version and answer key included for reference!

- Understand use of the English phrase “Get well soon.”

Briefly review the target vocabulary or expressions.
After the Activity
- Review answers together as a class.

Teacher Notes
- “Swollen” is an advanced word, so it is already written for the students. It will help to briefly explain the meaning before starting.
- I found that students are unfamiliar with the phrase “get well soon,” so it will be useful to explain the context for when to use it after the activity (i.e. consoling a sick friend).
