This EFL/ESL worksheet helps students practice “this” vs “that” along with simple object vocabulary words and spelling.
This worksheet is designed as a half sheet on A4 paper, so you will need to cut the pages in half. The student version and answer key is below.
It should be printed doubled sided, so make sure when you print, it’s set to two-sided, flip on the short edge!
This worksheet has a lot of fill in the blank writing activities, so 3rd grade EFL students may take a long time with this (maybe 15 minutes) depending on English level.

I find that my 3rd grade students really struggle with using the correct vowels when spelling “clock,” “doll,” and “ball.” My students usually guess that the spellings are “clack,” dall,” and “boll.”
This worksheet looks very simple but it really helps bring this simple spelling issue to their attention!
