This worksheet contains two word puzzles: word chain maze and secret word maze. Young EFL students can practice learning animal names. It can be used as a short time filler when you need it!
In the word chain maze, students follow the chain of connecting word to get from start to finish. The last letter of one word is the starting letter of the next. Students can refer to the word bank at the bottom to check spelling.
In the secret word maze, students letters as they follow the path through the maze from start to finish. Use the letters along the path and unscramble them to find the hidden word.
This is designed as a two-sided half sheet to save paper, so you will need to cut the pages in half. Print double-sided on A4 paper. Student version and answer key below.
