Snack the Code ESL Food Worksheet

This ESL worksheet helps young students practice spelling food words in English with a a fun word puzzle activity. Students fill in the words, then crack the code to discover the hidden message.

This was designed for 3rd grade EFL students. My class of 18 students spent about 15 minutes to complete the worksheet while referencing their textbooks. There are instructions on how to decode the message, but of course half of the students don’t read the instructions at all and instead yell at you to explain it to them one by one…

This worksheet is designed as a half sheet on A4 paper, so you will need to cut the pages in half.
